Wood Guide

Posted in Uncategorised

Good wood is the secret to getting the maximum from your stove. It should have low moisture content - both water and sap - and should be stored to ensure it remains dry.

2 year seasoned with a maximum moisture content of 20% is recommended but 10% or less is the ideal.

CONTACT US for the delivered price of 1.0 or 1.6 or 2.0 cubic metre bags of Kiln Dried Hardwood. This guarantees performance and quality. Also available; kiln dried wood by the net bag and packs of hardwood or bark brickets.

You can test water content using a moisture meter.  We stock these moisture meters at Kinross Stove and Cooker Centre.
